Marina Bay Sands

Taustal Marina Bay Sands'i kolm torni.

As Singapore is said to be the Switzerland of Asia it can be compared to Venice: small excursion ships and boats slide on the River Singapore in silence as the shores are blooming. This all is thanks to the ex-PM of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew who in 1977 called a halt to the polluting activities that had lasted almost one and a half centuries. On the background: three towers of the Marina Bay Sands.

Johor Bahru kaevajad

Diggers at Johor Bahru.

Hoolimata tihedast vihmast ja salakavalatest tuueliilidest kühveldas see tubli mees hoogsalt liiva ühes Johor Bahru väiketänavas. Tervitanud mind hoogsa käeviipega jätkas ta tööd täiel kiirusel.
This hardworking man did not mind the heavy rain and sly breeze while shoveling some sand in a back street of Johor Bahru. He waved me a quick 'hello' and continued the work with full speed.

London - Victoria

 03:00. 3am.

Ööpäev läbi leidub reisiaid, kes kambakesi või üksi ootavad rongide saabumist/väljumist Victoria jaamas. Ajaliselt on vahed mitu tundi (nt 01:00, 03:00,..) ja turvalisuse põhjusel ei lasta ootajaid jaama ega perroonidele - nad saavad vaid varikatuse all seista. Nii ootasin ka mina.
Day and night in Victoria Station there are passengers in groups or alone who are waiting for departing/arriving trains. The time cap between trains is a couple of hours (e.g. 1am, 3am,..) and for the sake of security the waiting people are not allowed to enter the station - they are standing outside. So did I.
