Vormel 1 Albert Parki ringrajal

Formula 1 on Albert Park racing circuit

The world fastest auto circuit racing is a major event. Like a festival with its car exhibitions, air shows, sponsor demos, free gifts )from pens to shaving foam) and different cicuit tests and smaller races. The climax of the event is the grand finale of Formula 1 on Sunday evening.
It is worth mentioning that around, inside, besides the racing circuite and in the 500metres radius the roaring of the engines is constantly so loud that it seriously threatens your eye-sight. Even with proper ear plugs it was difficult to stay focused and fresh in these conditions.

Läheneme võistlusele: teesulg. Approcing Grand Prix: roadblock

Puhas klassika. Pure classics

Üks aega-parajaks-tegev sõit pühapäeva pärastlõunal oli sel aastal Lexuse võidusõit, kus pilootideks Austraalia erinevad meeskuulsused. Sõideti kümmekond ringi, võitis ´keegi kohalik´.
One of the event that helped to kill the time before the grand finale was the Lexus Celebrity Challenge Drivers Parade where the drivers were Australian celebrities. After about ten laps ´someone local´ won the race.

Qantas´e reisilennuk tiirutas üle peade nii madalalt, et tõi tahtmatult meelde 9/11. The fly-over of a Qantas jet was so low that it inadvertently brought to mind  9/11.

Alati valmis. Always ready

Kel piletiraha polnud, vaatasid aia tagant püüdes tasakaalu säilitada.
Who didn't have money to buy the ticket watched from behind the fence trying to keep the balance.

Leivategu Southbankis

Breadbaking in Southbank

Eestlane leivata on nagu meri veeta. Tänu E julgusele jõudis Melbourne´i tükk kodumaist juuretist, mis pani aluse South Melbourne Marketi rukkijahu abiga uuele rukkileiva generatsioonile. Kuni leib kuumavanne võttis, istusid eestlased-inglased-australlased koos rääkides maast ja ilmast.
Estonian without bread would be the same as sea without water. Thanks to E´s courage a piece of original Estonian leaven made its way to Melbourne. That leaven together with rye flavour from South Melbourne Market started off a new generation of local rye bread. While the bread took some hot air baths in the oven the friends originating from Estonia, UK and Aus chatted about world, weather and beyond.
